- Proposed Changes to Bylaws for General Assembly Meeting
At the Assembly in Capetown, proposed changes to the Articles and Bylaws will be put to the meeting for approval. The changes can be viewd by clicking on the link above.
The changes are proposed in the context of giving greater transparency to a changing and dynamic international organization committed to promoting research in the field of intellectual disabilities.
The changes will give all the membership a greater involvement in the governance of the Association.
The Bylaws of IASSID have served the Association well for the past 40 plus years. However, advances on technology, greater educational opportunities and the emergence of services throughout the world and an increased international membership requires IASSID to reflect these changes in the Bylaws which govern the Association.
